BACA is a community organisation; it belongs to its members.
We have a volunteer, elected committee to keep things going, with an annual general meeting to elect them. All members are welcome to join the committee and attend meetings. We are bound by a constitution, which is our governing document. On April 28th, we are meeting to vote on some changes to this document to reflect ATO requirements for tax-deductible charity status. This opens up grant opportunities and supports our supporters who donate.
As we transition our structure into a charity, we are creating our policies and procedures to ensure a safe and welcoming space for our members, as well as a supportive space for our staff, facilitators, and volunteers.
The sustainability of BACA relies on member input, including volunteering, along with raising funds.
Please complete our survey about our term one activities to help our committee represent our membership. Use the comment option to provide feedback on any concerns, what you felt worked really well and what you think we can do better.
