In response to the growing need for a coordinated approach to improving performing arts opportunities for youth in Braidwood and district, a new community group called the Braidwood Youth Performing Arts Association (BYPAA) was formed in 2017.

Our vision is to support existing and create new performing arts opportunities for the kids of Braidwood and surrounding districts.

By providing positive activities, workshops and mentoring relationships, we hope to boost confidence, well-being, physical and mental health outcomes for young people.

BYPAA evolved and in 2023 with gratitude to QPRC, we moved into the Old Library, and turned it into The Glasshouse.  In 2025 we changed our name to Braidwood Academy of Creative Arts to encompass all that we do, as we register as a charity.

Our success is driven by our community spirit and passion for creative opportunities, that are collaborative and accessible

Our 2025 Committee is supported by our General Manager of Operations, Annie Duke.  This paid support position has been made possible thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donation.  Annie is supported by a team of dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers who get to do all the fun stuff!
